Volunteer Horse Patrol Program
Hello All
Our annual meeting date is set for Saturday, March 3rd – 10:00 AM -2:00 PM at the firehouse in Newington. Information on the meeting and directions are on the attached document and also pasted below.
I urge everyone to plan on attending this meeting as we meet only once a year.
There is much discussion on the patrol, ways to improve it, planning for the year’s events, giving updates of trails, etc. If anyone wants to bring up anything for the agenda, let me know. Your ideas and solutions are important to help this unit continue and become more efficient.
This year we will go over logging and ways to make it easier. Daisy Gmitter, our CHC Webmaster will show a power point presentation on a new way to log on line. As the patrol grows, it is very difficult to find time to collect and redo logs. Meg and I spend much more time than we should or want to on logs, and we hope that we can call on everyone to do their part as members of the patrol and ask the Coordinators to help out more. It sure would be appreciated.
Please bring a donated item if you able to, so that we can have a fundraiser and some extra money for a 50/50 raffle. Of course the social meeting of all the volunteers and food is the best part of the gathering.
We will be ordering shirts and vests for all the new members. If anyone needs a replacement (I know you’ve had them a long time) – Please let me know by the end of the month. I will need your size (men’s).
Patrol Log Question:
One more thing … Thank you to those that have sent in your logs. It is appreciated. To those that haven’t this is your last call. I will need them by the deadline of February 1st in order to add them to the total of 2011 hours.
Question?? If you log your hours and stats after your patrols – why would it take anyone so long to send them in? I don’t get it. It sure makes it hard on me to get the final total year end work done in time for the end of March. If you don’t have any hours, please let me now, so that I’m not waiting on you.
Thank you
THINK SPRING!
HAPPY TRAILS
